Manara Dental (“Manara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Manara mobile application and manaradental.com (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have over your information.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, phone number, country of operation, professional or clinic type (e.g. dental clinic, independent practitioner), and any verification document you upload (such as a dental license, clinic registration, or professional ID).
Order and transaction information. When you place an order or request a quote, we collect the products and quantities selected, your delivery or pickup address, the order status, and the payment method tokens generated by our payment processor. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers — those remain with the payment processor.
Device and usage information. When you use the app or website, we automatically collect:
- Device identifiers, operating system + version, app version
- Language and country preference
- Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android, Apple Push Notification Service on iOS)
- Aggregate usage analytics — screens viewed, features engaged with, session duration
- Crash and error reports — including stack traces and the screen the crash occurred on
Location information. With your permission, we may collect approximate location to help you select a nearby delivery address or city. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
Communications. SMS verification codes, support requests, and any feedback you submit are stored for as long as necessary to provide support and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Verify your professional eligibility and process your registration
- Process orders, payments, deliveries, and quote requests
- Send transactional messages — order confirmations, delivery updates, OTP verification codes
- Provide customer support
- Send marketing communications about new products or promotions (only with your consent — you can opt out at any time)
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and transaction information for as long as your account remains active and thereafter for as long as required to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
SMS verification codes expire within minutes and are permanently deleted shortly after. Aggregate, de-identified analytics may be retained for product improvement.
When you delete your account, we remove your personal identifiers from our active systems without undue delay, in accordance with applicable law. Some information may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being permanently overwritten.
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) for all communication between the app and our servers
- Encrypted storage of authentication tokens on your device — iOS Keychain and Android EncryptedSharedPreferences
- Access controls, audit logging, and the principle of least privilege on backend systems
- Regular dependency updates and security reviews
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding the personal information we hold about you:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate information directly in the app or by contacting us
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent — opt out of marketing communications at any time, either from the app or by emailing us
- Object — object to certain types of processing

7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for licensed dental professionals and registered dental clinics. It is not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it without delay.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed on servers operated by our providers in the regions where those providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to those regions, subject to appropriate safeguards under applicable data protection laws.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email with reasonable advance notice before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the Service after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
